Let’s talk about boudoir—not the filtered Instagram version or the "for someone else" version—but the real, raw, beautifully messy and empowering kind. For many, boudoir might seem like something you do for a partner, a gift, a surprise. And while that can be a part of it, it’s honestly so much more. For me, it was a turning point. A reclaiming. A way to fight against the way I’d been taught to see myself by all those early 2000's magazines.

Boudoir helped me find my way and feel proud of me.

Like many women, I have my scars I'd rather not look at, I’ve been frustrated with fluctuating weight and looked at the mirror disappointed in my body, and I've come back from the gym feeling defeated trying to accept the way I'm shaped. I don’t say that for sympathy — I say it because you might be reading this and thinking, “Yeah... same.” We're often taught to feel this way.

The first time I had my own boudoir session I thought I'd be completely fine and comfortable. Turns out I was nervous as hell, hands shaking, embarrassed because I felt like I should be ready to go and know what to do - I'm a boudoir photographer - shouldn't happen right? Well it did. Then my photographer swooped on in like a hero, guided me through the process, and I started to be with myself. I didn't need much direction after that, and I left feeling celebrated, fully connected to myself, and like I was the hottest thang and ready for my day.

This experience is my driving force and why I'm passionate about Boudoir. I've been there, I feel that self-doubt, and that's why having a photographer you trust is so important.

You know the moment: it’s 1am, you’re in the club bathroom doing a quick sweat-check, maybe fixing your eyeliner, when a tipsy stranger looks you dead in the eye and says, “You are so hot—and that outfit is fire..” Suddenly, you’re glowing. You walk out of that bathroom feeling unstoppable, ready to ditch your bad date and hit the dance floor with your friends, looking and feeling like a total babe.

That space an energy is nearly unmatched. The pure, hyped-up, no-judgement, women hyping women love.

That's boudoir.

It's not about perfection - it's about being yourself. Celebrated in whatever form you arrive in. Stretch marks, scars, awkward laughs, shaky confidence - all of it is welcome. All of it is beautiful (and you'll see proof in the photos).

When I shoot boudoir sessions, I’m not trying to create a fantasy version of you. I want to create a space where you feel safe, powerful, and like the goddess you already are. I want you to see yourself in the gallery and go, “Damn. Look at ME being all fine”—not because I made you something you’re not, but because I showed you what’s always been there.

This is more than photography. It’s reclamation. It’s therapy, glittered in soft lighting and silky robes (or leather harnesses). It can be soft, bold, emotional, hilarious, sexy, weird - it's whatever you want it to be.

It's just us in a studio, and it doesn't have to be stressful. Some cry, laugh, dance, read books, play with frosting, and sometimes all of the above. It's not about getting your hair done and looking pretty in a picture. Feeling pampered is great, but it doesn't matter in the end how glammed up you are. All you need is you, no matter how you're feeling, and I'll handle the rest.
